My favorite picture that I took at Brayden's birthday party this evening..............

This is my favorite picture...he is in a flying saucer with a good friend of his. I loved the expression that these two boys have!

I kinda liked this picture too! He appears to be concentrating on shooting down another airplane.

It was hot, temperatures in the upper 80's when I took this picture. Brayden is letting me know that it is hot.

It is late and I still have lots of pictures to sort and put in a folder. Many of the pictures were blurred action pictures and can't be saved, but that is why I played the odds and took lots of pictures...something Royal taught me. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas) :)

Grab those memories while you can Grampa!! They're grown before you know it!

You have lots to be proud of and thankful for,

CJ

These kids were well behaved, no fussing or anything. I was amazed at all the "yes sir" and "no sir" that I heard...well behaved kids with good manners. Kelley (Texas) :)

He spends lots of time here and we always feel sad when he has to leave to go back home. Kelley (Texas) :)

you can get candid pictures. Adults see a camera and immediately strike a pose or whine, "I don't like my picture taken" Kids are natural. Thanks for keeping us updated buddy

Many were out of focus and blurry....but I also got a few "once in a life time" pictures too! Also, the camera was not designed for the action type of pictures that I took, but I did get a few great pictures using it. Towards the end, the batteries started going bad and I probably missed the opportunity of taking a few more good pictures. Some of the things that you told me over the years about taking pictures paid off yesterday. Kelley (Texas) :)

You are right to be proud of him.. If he has his grampas ethics and morals, that young man will never have any serious problems..

many thanks for the photo trip!!

Calm seas. Fair winds

He is a typical boy, likes to explore and see new things in life. He loves animals and our dog "Sadie" and him are best friends. Mike, thanks for the nice words. Kelley (Texas) :)

Looks like you guys really enjoy him and he you folks. Nice to have that relationship with them. Thats the first
really good shot of a flying saucer I have seen.....

I think they liked the flying saucer and airplanes the best...lots of action for them. I guess that with both Debbie and I coming from happy families and it appears that my Daughter-in-Law's family are good people...this should rub off on Brayden. My Daughter-in-Law's family are best friends with us and we spend all holiday's and special events together, visit each other quite often too! We all enjoy each other's company and love doing things together. Kelley (Texas) :)

Looks like that place down on Broadway, if it is I played down there when I was a kid, and my girls did and loved it. The rides are ruduced down to smaller sizes for smaller kids. We had a couple birthday parties her my girls down there.

New owners and the rides have been down sized for smaller children. The place has really been cleaned up and the kids love the place. I remember years ago when the rides were wild compared to now. Kelley (Texas) :)

and other rides? For some reason I keep thinking there was a second amusement park on Broadway many years ago. My wife thinks that this is the only one and that they have reopened and now cater to the younger children. Kelley (Texas) :)

still some runnnig in these parts but a lot of ones long forgotten. I've done well in them over the years even on the pounded ones... Just found one about 4 weeks ago while checking out where a few Geocaches are on the way to my daughters.....Pretty over grown not with brush but the ground looks good...

The last one that closed was on the South Side of San Antonio and I think the City bought it and will build a library or something on it. Gosh, those were some good times going to the drive-in in the pickup truck and a couple bales of hay in the bed of the truck for your friends to sit on. When I was in high school, the important things were Friday night football, the drive-in theater, weekend roping, and meeting at the old Dairy Queen. That being said, we also looked forward to the County Fair, and the big Fourth of July family reunion and picnic. We grew up in the best of times! Kelley (Texas) :)
