My Favorite Half Cent PCGS Wouldn't Slab:thumbdown:

Here's a picture of my favorite half cent that PCGS would not slab. Sent 8 coins in to slab and only the 1920 Mercury (AU 55) and a 1848 Half Dime (XF 40) would come back slabbed. The rest were either environmental damage or cleaned (HA, with water only). If they are not sure about the coins they simply reject them at your $25.00 fee each!!!:ranting: So now I buy my own slabs and grade them myself. Found in May of 2005. Thanks for looking. HH. I'm going out Saturday with a friend to my Barber site again:crazy:

Nice find.......Looks like a very good specimen

Send it to ANACS. Anyone can get coins graded from them you don't have to join a "club" to send coins to them. As with most other grading services, different prices for how fast you want them graded.
They( ANACS) graded a 1921 D Merc dime as Fine, that I had sent a year before, to PCGS to get graded(who didn't grade it-coin counting machine damage).
You can get a submission form from their website.

Thanks. I may try that. Although cost is an issue. I'd love to grade a bunch I've found. I went out and bought about 200 slabs and I'm going to grade them myself for now. But at least I now know ANACS will do some of them. Thanks again.

why not try the other coin slabbing services!..
