How deep was it?

Great job Darrell...the half dime is a difficult one to find being they are so small...that's probably why others have missed it in the past. The SE will find them though if you move it slow. Good looking old coin! HH

Thanks a lot everyone... it was only about 5 inches in he ground...it came up like a zinc penny... tell you the truth i have to thank "just dig it" for the find.. he set me up with a program... a different discrimination pattern, i cam across the target.. and was switching back and forth between patterns... i probably wouldn't have dug the signal before,, being knew to the machine and thinking it was a junk coin... So i was like what the heck its probably a penny... i jabbed my knife in the ground carelessly... digging through the roots... i finally popped it out covet in dirt... i didn't know what the heck it was... at first i thought it was a small shirt button.. then i rubbed the dirt off and saw the seated liberty on the front... i was like ohh a seated dime... i had never dug either one of them... i flipped it over and took the dirt off the back and read... HALF DIME..... i never knew there was such a thing lol my heart started beating... and i grabbed my phone and started calling every one.... lol I did learn something very important that day,,,, Dig every possible coin target no madder the dept... i dug a 1864 Indian,, at a inch in the ground soon after the half dime...
