My Favorite Coin

I've found my fair share silver over the last few years but this coin is my favorite so far. Maybe gold some day???? I was hunting in a bean field where an old cabin used to set in the early 1800s. I'd found a few large cents and a bunch of shotgun shells then I got a dime quarter type reading so when I dug it up I could"t believe my eyes a 1773 Spanish coin. I live in central Illinois so we don't find a lot of these kind of coins. Hope you enjoy the picture.
God Bless

Wow! Nice coin Al!

That detector of his hunts so deep he's been pulling out Chinese coins too. We hunted another "hunted out" site and we both felt it wouldn't produce any more coins and he pulled out a Barber quarter, Barber dime, Mercury dime and several Indian Head cents. He regularly whips all contenders for those silver coins. Good hunting partner.

Thank you. Al and I have hunted together a few times and he lead me to this web. I couldn't resist the ribbing. He's a good guy naturally and I have to concentrate on it. I appreciate the friendly words and look forward to your posts. Thanks for making yourself known.

Thanks. I was beginning to think he had the best but then my Garrett 2500 loacated a nice bunch of clad coins along with 2 silver dimes and silver quarter last Wednesday. Al had about the same amount of coins minus the silver. However he had a couple of nice rings so it was a toss-up. We had a great hunt that day. Friday I went out without Al and found an 1852 silver 3 cent piece. We're having a ball with them.
