The first of a never ending line of cars arrived at our State Police Office at 09:00 this morning. As I write this, we are now setting up to load the SECOND Tractor Trailer load of water, food, medical supplies, clothes etc.

The generosity of some people is astounding and the out pouring of love is immense. One lady from a local Church brought in postcard sized pictures of the area with this written on the back. "Our Prayers and thoughts are with you in these difficult times" We have included them in the boxes in the trucks.

A local food distribution center has donated seven truckloads of bottled water which will be in the convoy leaving tomorrow night with police escort to Mississippi. I believe the total will be something like 6-8 loads of supplies and 7 loads of water.

GOD is at work here and in the hearts of many. I only wish I could be going along on the trip. Praise Him, for His wonders are never ending.

That is good to hear. All that CNN is showing is the negative side of all this.
It is heart breaking to see what has happened down there.
We pray for the survivors and those who are working to save lives.
God bless,
MM

the second truck has arrived. There is a full load on the ground waiting to be loaded and a third trailer has been ordered. The donation dropoff has been extended for a second day from 08:00-14:00. Operation Helping Hand will leave for Gulfport Mississippi with Vermont State Police escort sometime in the evening. The total of rigs may reach as many as twenty as the donations have overwhelmed some dropoff points. Please pray for the safety of the drivers and the rigs on the trip and their return. I offer a prayer of thanks for the many volunteers who gave of their time and efforts to pull this off. God Bless!

People seem to unite and show their good side during disasters, anyway most of them....but you still have your scum who take advantage and help themselves instead of helping others!

God Bless!

God will be glorified in all this, you know. I think we will see the best in people before it it is all over with. <><

people pull together at the things we can accomplish. Especially all the local church camps and churches opening their doors for our guests from the Gulf Coast.

Hey Dave, I'm glad to recognize a familiar "face" while visiting this forum. I hope you are doing well. I'm trying to decide which local beach to hunt tomorrow afternoon with Arkie.

"You know we are Christians by our love, by our love".....

God Bless,
