Hit a small yard just a couple of blocks from my house. Why I have been driving 20 or 30 miles to find spots is beyond me

Silver '43 half and '43-S quarter were 8 inches apart and 10 inches deep. '41 and '44-D mercs ... I just about died when I saw the rim on the 1964 mexican 5 centavo coin. Looks like it's brass or gold-plated. Thought I had a $10 gold piece for a couple of seconds .. :stretcher: .... and 8 wheaties all from the 40's. What a day !! Every time I think about buying an Etrac, my Explorer smacks me upside the head and says "What you talkin' about Willis?"

WoW Dave!! That was a smokin' day!! I liked your "my Explorer smacks me upside the head and says "What you talkin' about Willis?""

The Etrac is awesome but so is the Explorer, its all in how you use it. I had the Etrac and honestly it is "Easier" to use if you never had an FBS machine but in no way is it any better than the Explorer.

Very nice day of hunting Dave. Congrats on
the silver coins and the string of wheaties.
Etracs are good, but so are the Explorers!
Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

Very nice half Dollar , nice to see considering how few big coins you have in the US to find.

If all i could find on my beaches were upto Quarter Dollar coins then it would have a catastrophic effect on my finds rate.
Explorer is a very good machine and i found many coins and a lot of rings with mine until i got the ET .

Thanks Bruce ... I went back the next morning and scared-up a 1936 mercury dime. Found five silver in that tiny front yard .. :detecting:

That was a great yard for sure Dave! Thanks for the pictures.
