My F75 won't fit in my airline carry on!!! Suggestions?

Hi All:

Went to Canada and went to pack my F75 in my carry on and it didn't fit! BUMMER! I don't want to check it as so much luggage is looted by the thousands standing around or trashed or lost. Didn't have time to mess with it so had to leave it.

Can those who have contact with First Texas ask them to break it down a little more so we can take our machines with us on vacation?

Anyone else have this problem and have found a way to pack it in a carry on instead of checking it? Please share.

My other option is buying another machine that WILL fit into a carry on. Any suggestions on machines you know will fit in a carry on? I was thinking an ACE 250 as I've heard nice things about that machine. How about an F4? Hearing nice things about the F4 too.

Really missed my F75 on the trip. I have an office in Idaho and one in Seattle and was planning to take the F75 next trip, but now I know it won't fit. Need suggestions soon please.

But we had the same problem trying to fit them in our old smaller backpacks while hiking..........
The easy solution was simply a pack that was longer. So, perhaps just a larger duffle bag or something will do the trick?

Marke, I carry mine on the plane in a detector bag and check my luggage. I would rather wait at the baggage claim for whatever amount of time then not have my detector along with me.

Jm tn Question... Will the F-75 in the detector bag fit inside the
the small carry-on space? Some carry-on spaces are small.

No, at full length it will not fit in the smaller overhead spaces of commuter type airlines. It will though, when removing the coil and the two stems. HH jim tn

If so, you could pack the coil and lower shaft in your other luggage amidst your clothes laying flat, and carry the most fragile part in your carry-on.

Both the Fisher F-75 and the Tecnetics T-2 are the same size, If they can be "broken"
down into sub-assemblies and fit into the carry-on space of an airline... GREAT.

Today, the detector poles can be broken down into shorter lengths, many now have
three sections. Years ago a buddy of mine cut the upper wand into two segments
and added a sleeve to reconnect... splice... our detectors. We went to the south
slope of the Brooks Range, above the Arctic circle and did not want to chance that
our detectors would not arrive with us.
