my explorer wont detect a cut half.

Ihave to place my coil on to the cut half for the detector to sound, can anyone tell me if this is normal.
 
whats a cyt half? you mean a half dollar thats cut in two? are you doing it in the house or in the yard?
 
Check your sensitivity.And maybe the discrimination pattern you are using.
 
and he dont even own an explorer.. just a pain in the ass
 
Something wrong there Bruce. I have found cut halves and cut quarters with mine. A cut half is a medieval hammered penny thats been yep you guessed it...cut in half.
