Hi Everyone,

This is my 1st post in this forum particularly in the Whites section.

After using my trusty X-Terra for over a year now I decided to upgrade so I bought I DFX and MAN what a mchine!

I got it a few weeks ago and only taken it out 4 times to parks that I have already hunted with and boy am I impressed.

Here are my finds thus far using the standard 9.5 multi harmonic coil. I have recently bought a super 12 from the classifieds here and I'll post my 1st hunt shortly.

Enjoy

It looks like you have some good sites . . what is that find in the upper right ? a watch back ?

I guys,

its actually a Stamp for Fishing line container. I actually found it still nailed to the wooden handle but it was so rotten that it crumbled.

Congrats man! I'm happy for you. I also recently purchased a DFX with the 12" coil and have many interesting finds. Unfortunately not much luck on the cool old coins side like you have had it looks.

I am on my second DFX and I love it. I know they came out with better ones but DFX is so easy to use because of the pre-programs.

conjoe, I don't know that I would agree that they came out with better ones.......different and more expensive, but better? That's hard to imagine.

That DFX is an awesome machine. I just got mine recently with the 9.5" and the 12" coils and can't wait to get one of the smaller coils to use in some near by trashy areas.

I really like my Bounty Hunters but this DFX really rocks!!

I need some help please...

I'm just about ready to throw my Whites DFX Spectrum E- Series in the driveway and run it over. I'm so fed up with trying to figure this thing out. I've tried practically every possible thing that I know of and I still can't get any decent results out of this detector.

I'm not a novice at metal detecting by any means, but I have to confess that I've always been partial to Fisher detectors. I've reviewed the instructional videos that came with the detector, and for the life of me, I can't get any decent results out of this machine.

Obviously I'm missing something somewhere... I've searched YouTube to no end and still I'm baffled as to how this beast works. LOL. Are there any videos that are available that could walk me through the menu settings and at the same time give an overview of what the function does and how to manipulate all of the features.

As stated before, I've searched YouTube, but it seems as though White's has so many different versions of their machines. Example: DFX, DFX 300, DFX Spectrum, ... The list goes on and on, and I'm becoming more and more confused by the second. Please help me before they have to put me in a straight jacket and give me electro shock therapy. I'm at my wits end.
