My DFX is on the way!

I have been detecting for over 8 years. First with a White's PRL1 ( I still love the thing. No ID, just knob discriminate and dig everything else), an older Fischer, then a Garrett CXIII, and most recently the ACE 250, which can't be beat for the price. But I am most excited about having more control the metal detector than I have had with any of my previous machines.

I have read some not so nice things about White's lately in the forums. Sure their machines may not be as sexy as some other brands, but Whites still cannot be beat on quality and features.

man you won't be sorry! The dfx is a great machine.Would be lost without mine...Take your time and learn everything about it,it won't do you wrong......hh kd

They can have the young dumb blondes, I'll take a cougar anyday! More experience and know what they are doing.

I have already read the 60 page manual cover to cover twice!

Might suggest you hunt with some of the preset programs before you start tweaking. Several excellent books out on the unit and would suggest you read..Your darn right about Whites quality and above all service after the sale..Actually I think they have the best ergonomic unit on the market which has stood the test of time and as far as I am concerned pretty darn nice looking unit cosmetically also...Lots of learned DFX users on forum so if you have any questins fire away...

You will not be disappointed.

The key is.. practice practice practice... try the presets first. When you get more confident about the settings, you can bump them up and go back over old ground like new. It will sniff out coins like a bloodhound. Great for the beach too.
