well last night my detector got stolen out of my truck, i'm spreading the word around if by chance you see one of these for sale in maine with a 5" coil on it chances its mine, so if anybody comes across a add or something of this detector please P/M

Sorry to hear about the theft!!!!! I thought you were in California, was real surprised you live in Maine. I guess you'll have to start nailing everything down

well come to find out i wasn't the only one the police told me a bunch of my neighbors were hit to, police seem to believe that its young people that stealing trying to get a quick buck for drugs

amcjavelin,
I'm sorry to hear some low life ripped off your detector. I hope you get it back, but you might want to call the local pawn shops and spread the word that it was stolen.
The crackheads will probably sell it for 50 bucks or whatever they can get out of it. Too bad you didn't catch them in the act of stealing it and kicked their asses. Nothing worse than a thief in my book.
I never leave anything valuable in my vehicle even though I live in the country where things are pretty quiet. Hopefully you will get it back soon. Let us know how it works out for you. Good luck !
Maybe you need to get a dog to protect your property at night. Or better yet, let Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson do the talking for you.......lol

you know up here in maine this usually doesn't happen, you know how many times i've gone to walmart with this thing unlocked and nobody has never bothered it, well guess those days are over but i guarantee you if i ever have the orportunity to catch them, they will not like me!

jav, with the economy in shambles like it is I think you can expect to see lots more of this kind of stuff happening, even in the good neighborhoods.
Years ago we never took the keys out of the cars at night and the house was always unlocked....not anymore.
Sad world we live in these days isn't it. Let us know if they find your detector.
Roger

That's too bad, i hope the thiefs will get what they deserve.

I agree with Joe Dirt. Contact any local pawn shops.

Check the pawn shops and craigslist:thumbdown:

I can only hope your insurance will cover this. This situation is not good. I do hope this is not going to end up being an expensive lesson.

i'm afraid so my friends it was but i guarantee you never again, you know what makes it crazier worked my but off on the bike for my expeditions and now i got nothing!

will your insurance cover your detector? of course you probably have a 250.00 or 500.00 deductable so that isn't good either.
hope you get lucky and the cops find it for you.

Roger

no insurance a hard lesson to learn other than finding out people stink in this world but this is okay like i 've said this will never happen again, and on the bright side a got a buddy that has lent me out his whites v3i until i got enough cash to buy another RG 1000

Man, that's a bummer. I see you have a photo, I also hope that you have the serial number as that is what will prove the machine belongs to you. Even better is if you have the original sales receipt. Good Luck!.

nope not on this machine this is the first batch made and from being sold in canada there's a few variances i'm told from deep tech but my dealer has informed me though i'm the only one in maine that he had sold to so plus the fact is that it stolen with the 5" accesorie coil as well

Sorry to hear about your loss But do check pond shopes they well want to sell it as fast as they took it ZSo the pond shop might already have it.,,,,

Post some posters on the telephone poles like those used for lost pets......
who knows someone may spot the detector.
