My day with the AT Pro (borrowed)

I am detectorless at the moment but borrowed a relatives AT Pro. I wrote up an article in the metal detecting forum but since I made these finds with the ATP, I figure I would share here as well. Dig those TID 64's! The little 3 cent pieces rang up at number. Also found several silver dimes as well. Had a great day and enjoyed hunting in the woods. - Jim

Green [Space] Duck Was Originally Greenduck Corporation

... ultimately to become Green Duck Metal Stamping Company. ... Early on they even struck Illinois state license plates, and, souvenir spoons for the 1934 Chicago World's Fair. The company changed ownership and moved from Chicago to Hernando, Mississippi in 1962.

The above is from a search. Greenduck made many very collectable items, and you have a keeper that was given to a person that help make the collectable. That must make it very special to any collector of the Greenduck Company.

WOW" the 1851 is worth about 50.00 and the other about 25.00 you just missed the O what a hall of coins

That's an outstanding hunt! Something for everyone - I'd love to find a 3 cent coin, and the fob and pin are sweet, too!

Thank you everyone for your kind words. Dancer, I do not know if "borrowing" had anything to do with my luck lol. Although if someone offers, I'll take them up on it :) Waterwalker, thank you for the info on the Green Duck company. I soaked the 3 cent pieces in olive oil overnight thinking it would clean them up but did very little. Does anyone here have suggestions on how to clean them up without damaging them? Thanks - Jim

Thanks GS. I said the same thing and it finally happened. Hang in there and keep swingin' - Jim

Heck of great hunt. Trimes are really elusive - great score! That's the best way to check out different detectors, borrow them when you can !
