my day...finds and a story of rudeness

ok so my hubby and I were out at silver hill...we found this stuff...some clad a silver plated earring and a gold plated eifel tower. now for the story..

.so there were some workers doing some construction on the other side of the place. when they were ready to leave.....knowing we were out there for a while now....one of the workers came up to us and said..." I dont think you guys are allowed to do that" my hubby asked " why not?" Worker replies.."Because it is school property and you guys are just digging up everywhere" :blink: :look: i see no holes. we fill all our holes and are very careful what we do.........back to story....my hubby just kinda looked at him funny. worker then says " I am going to write down your lincense plate number and if anything comes up missing...." talking about the construction site....my hubby stops him in mid sentence and says "we are not thieves. besides we werent even planning on going over there." worker again replies " just in case" my reply to the worker " whatever do what you want. "

hunting our secret spot, this old lady comes out and says You don't have permission to be digging here. And I replied yes I do, she says no you don't.....lol

anyhow she goes inside the business like a little kid running to tattle tale on me. Well that was 9am, and I never left there till 1pm, never heard a peep from anyone. I guess they told her inside to mind her own business! :clapping:
 
I would have explained the situation to them. The reason is IF anything is missing or if the worker just CLAIMs something is missing you are going to get a call from the cops. Letting them know that you were approached and concerned that you might be unjustly accused they would not bother you later.

Somepeople have nothing better to do than meddle in others' affairs....

you were doing nothing wrong!
 
there were others using the grounds as well. we were the only one with MDs and the only ones approached. the principle knows we are out there and has no problem with it. it was hard to keep quiet when he went to the car and started shouting out our lincise number i guess to intimadate us or something. that and the fact he was driving his little truck following us most the time we were out there. i just told my hubby lets go we got enough for today. was thinking about going back out there today just to say hi.
