a trip to UCONN. This was a agriculture school way back when. They still have a farming section and this is the horse area they have for their Morgan program. We go here when ever she is down this way as they have a home made on campus ice cream dairy there
that is really great. We trade bikes and she wanted to try out my bike. Different ride than her ZR1400 rice rocket...

Notice the bell is still on there Fred doing its job...

That is beautiful country. Our big Ag school down here is Texas A & M. I am glad to hear that the bell is doing it's job. Kelley (Texas) :)

2 days of rain, then a day of sun, them rain again....its been like that for awhile now... Sure keeps the grass coming up fast. If you were cutting grass for looks you would be doing it about every 3 days right now.... Woods here are thick now....things jump in a few yards and their gone from site..... My buddy is out here again from Washington State and says he could of stayed out there for this weather..... At least with the rain, where I am, not much chance of flood damage way up here on the hill... Our problems here are usually high winds, and tree's down. Most of my winter wood comes from tree's taken down in storms.
Wet snow storms does a real number on them...... Is there any danger to you guys from your river close by?

higher than I have ever seen it this time of year. I heard some yelling and walked through the woods along the river and helped pull some kayakers out of the river. They were young and one boy was crying and saying he wants to quit and didn't want to go down the river. His parents were down a ways and there is no way of tellng them and it is i15-16 miles to the takeout. I told the kid he would be fine but he was not thinking at all, just scared. I don't know what they did.

Some trees had fallen and large limbs had broken off and to kayak through them you had to look ahead and paddle hard. They had not it seems and went under. Man that water was moving like a freight train through that area

they would know how to handle this stuff before trying it. No fun learning it on the spur of the moment....Geo

he should have just went at it again. I don't think he had a life jacket on and he should have. That current is very strong and it can pin you under a log. It happened with Mary but I was able to get her out. Man that was scary for her and me. I just kept screaming "Hang on, Hang on" as I ran my kayak to shore, got out and worked my way back to her. I dang near froze that day :(
