My daughter the treasure hunter

Today my daughter and new treasure hunter buddy went to the park for a couple hours.. She has Cerebral palsy and only has the use of her left hand and uses a power wheelchair. I used my ACE 250 and sniper coil.. It gives out that great bell tone when a coin is detected.. She is the ears and tells me if I should dig... She does great and she carries the loot we find...Today we went out for 2 hours and found 41 pennies 4 nickels and 4 dimes, Total 49 clad coins...She is hooked and we had time well spent together.. Just a thought how the hobby can be just a good day all around.

Now that is a nice story.
It sounds like there is a lot of love there.
"Good on ya." as they say down under in Aussi land.

She is doing better then me today, only one dime!

I have to admit we only got 2 pennies and a dime the day before..Becki was still happy about the hunt but not as much as today. She was ready to show off the big haul today..

Good for her. It's wonderful that she can get out and do it. My wife was always my partner but now she is a bed-ridden quadriplegic and does she ever miss detecting. Hopefully your daughter can do it for many years to come and it should be great therapy.

What a wonnderful story. I really like to read stories where some people are born with some special challenges, and get the oppurtunity to hunt, and get enjoyment out of it. Thanks for sharing such a great day with your daughter. Give a "high five" from Edmonton!

You should take some pics of the two of you, write a little story and send it to Garrett. They really like to hear about hunts like this. :)
