My CZ-70 came back from Fisher Labs-beautiful

When I bought this the former owner really abused it cosmetically. Chunks out of the grip and arm cuff and stains as well. The faceplate was also stained up with brown stains like coffee and the coil was really chewed up but it worked great.
I sent it in and they replaced the arm cuff and grip and put a new faceplate in and also a new coil which I need a cover for
.It looks like brand new and works like it .
I took it out for a quick test-I love the notch system on this detector. Now I have to have a contest between the Minelab Se Pro that I just bought and the loser gets sold.
JUST JOKING!
Here are some pics of their work at Fisher. I left their little coil protector on where the coil cable goes into the coil.

I forgot to mention-they replaced the speaker also-
must be preventative maintenance.
David
they do beautiful work because this detector is a coin killer because I took it out to the coin garden planted over 5 yrs ago and it nailed them all.

Coil for coil...a cz in clean ground is the deepest seeking detector on the planet IMHO...PERIOD!

Most of my sites have a lot of old iron at reasonable depths though...so I opt for the Explorers most of the time in those instances.

A cz/Explorer combo is GREAT to have in your arsenal.

thanks Bryce

Bryce called it now waiting for them to lighten the load on the Explorer...Yep I agree with Bryce and using CZ's for 20 years wonder how many goodies I lost because of masking..I scratch my head because over a year ago a Fisher tech. told me they were limited rel. digital CZ's parts so they must have have the face plates...
Cost to repair reasonable or high in your estimation....

OK the bill was $180----What did I get?

new Arm cuff

new foam grip

New faceplate

new coil

new speaker

They factory tuned it

I think the new coil and face plate cost a couple of dollars-I thinkit was a very good deal.
It is just like brand new-How much does a new one go or new old stock
david

Man that's a nice machine  and what you paid was a bargain!! Now the question is are you going to get it dirty?

I need a coil cover-where do I get one?
David

GoGoGopher-nice hunting-
Well I have not been to a school yard yet but there is one real close and I would only cherry pick it-
I have never seen anybody with a metal detector ever at the school -so I don't know if it allowed
It's been so darn hot out here.
David

Boy does this thing go deep and does it like rusty nails-I don't care if it a piece of a rusty nail, this thing will fine it at 9 and 10" no sweat.
I just hate digging down 9" and come up with a rusty nail I would put it up for sale but the market for the CZ is soft right now and I know I can get good money for it on ebay
but by the time you give them listing fees and their 9% plus the 3% for the buyer who uses paypay-a $500 sale turns out less than $450. Ebay has really turned into crap-money hungry
I would also like to say I found another darn penny at 9"just like the others (no wheat).

I will always have a CZ in my arsenal! I currently have a Tom tuned CZ-3D And an E-trac. I feel for the sites I hunt for old coins these are the only two I need.

That's a keeper dfg. They did the same to my old beat up f-75...looks like new.

Great combo Harold..... can't beat it.

The CZ;'s are really good machines. I like what they did with yours. Really looks good.
It is too bad they don't offer some lighter weight coils for them however.
They seem to have a ton of coil choices for the F series.

They sold for over a thousad new.

You got that right...I think I need a bigger digger...lol
My CZ 7a Pro loves dimes and copper pennies, and I dig them at 8 inches all the time...I have hit dimes at almost 14-15 inches.

HH,
