I think the ideal metal detector does not exist.
But sometimes you can do in way of doing something for us to get closer to that goal.
This is my M6
with 2 plates that I use:Eclipse White 6x10 (FANTASTIC!)Excelerator DETECH 18-inch (TO TEST, BUT PROMISES GOOD)
Since the screw to the plate provided is not long enough for the 18-inch plate, I used a plastic screw of a water
This is the wireless device PHILIPHS SBC HC8445that use, it is fed to the battery pack of metal steesso seen that goes to 12volt (NO DELAY IN CAP)
So attached to the metal On 'M6 I put the volume in the sound controls on the box with a potentiometer and switch the backlight always on box controls
here a video to see the functioning of the whole
M6 backlight
The whole is fed with a BATTERY LIPO 3S 30C VOLTS 1.11 MAH 2450 (to which a short par to add the info a buzzer to warn of the minimum voltage to ricaricaricarla without damaging it)
that the buzzer
Lipo buzzer
I do not let it attacked, but the attack during the search for status monitoring of the discharge batteroeWith the battery pack with a plug made from modeling, in case of emergency I can still use the original pack with the batteries stylus. In talo way, I'll never be on the ground with the batteries
I created a cover to prevent moisture in the box to take command. I recycled a camouflage housing for telescopic
What's the voltage regulator cut off point of your M6? I run a 3 cell lipo in my Sovereign GT and the LVC (low voltage cutoff) low battery alarm of this detector sounds off at about 10.2 to 10.5V, which is perfect, since a 3 cell lipo should only be drained down to a max of 9V. Lipos should never be drained past 3V per cell, so that's 9V for a 3 cell series pack. Love those lipos! Much lighter, smaller, and with longer run times than nimhs or nicads. Not to mention they charge in an hour with no issues of pushing them like doing nimhs that fast, and won't self discharge on the shelf so they are ready to go months later. Just be careful. Always use a charger with a balance charging port (most if not all lipo chargers these days feature this, as well as a Molex balance charging plug on the lipo). Before lipos and chargers had balance ports they had a reputation for causing fires as individual cells could be over charged. Also, never short the pack. If you keep a pack in your pocket don't keep any keys or anything in there. Even a few split second short could cause it to go nuclear. If you don't plan to use a pack for months many chargers feature a sleep charge to put it at a good voltage level for long term storage to prolong the life or capacity of the pack. At the very least put the pack in the refrigerator for long periods of time as that keeps them from aging. I keep mine in a metal box in my refrigator just to be a bit safer about it. Always charge in the middle of a cement floor or keep a good idea on it while charging. This isn't just the safer thing to do for lipos, but should be done with any battery you are charging even nimhs or nicads. Also, the golden rule is only a max 1C (1 hour) charge. Meaning, if the pack is 1000ma then charge it at a max of 1 amp. Some lipos can be charged at higher C levels these days but most guys play it safe and it's fine and easy on a pack to do a 1C charge rate, where as that's pushing nimhs or nicads. Not really any healthier to charge them slower than 1C either.
