I have the battery on the charger and owners manual on the night stand. I have been reading all the posts about the new detectors and wasn't sure which one to buy. I decided to call Bart at big boys hobbies and he explained why this machine was best for the type of detecting I Want to do. I plan on testing it out tomorrow afternoon. There is so much information on here it is going to take a while to see what works for me. Thanks to all of you who take the time to share your knowledge here.Bart lived up to his reputation for great service, great price and fast delivery.

Enjoy the new detector...

Congrats, you are going to have many fun hours with it.

And allow me to also add my thanks to all here who so willingly share their knowledge.

Congrats on the new detector!

it can be as simple as you wish to run it which isn't a bad plan changing settings all the time is making learning the thing harder, work out what you are looking for set bins and tones noise cancel and start digging

Congrats; you bought a great machine. When I first started with the 3030 I just used the stock Coins program for a while until I got the feel for it then started experimenting. Don't believe the stuff about a coin always giving a good two-way signal. Those deep, thin dimes will often give a funny one-way signal.

Had mine for 6 days now. Its used but I'm sorry in one way I did not get this unit a long time ago. If I had I wouldn't have anyplace left to hunt, at the same time I see the superiority of this unit over another brand I was loyal to. I'm cleaning up stuff I have walked over. I have the wireless module, now I can hunt without being attached to the detector. I've not found much with it yet but I'm in the learning phase. Accuracy is dead on pinpointing. 11/33 so far has been aluminum cans. And deep. I've found myself laying down with my arm in the hole to extract a can. But I'm learning the numbers
