My compadres finally here

My compadre showed up yesterday so I played with it last night in the yard and took it to work to scrounge around the parking area "which is all grass". First off, I was amazed at how light it is and how small the control box is. My yard is trashy so I set the disc to foil and that pretty much eliminated lots of trash.....found a couple of pennies an old mardi gras token about three inches down.

At work, the first coin I found was a 1988 quarter about eight inches down in the sand. That was pretty cool. All in all I found about 60 cents in clad today. I put my disc on iron and when I got a signal I just turned the disc up until I didn't get a signal and it was very accurate. I knew that if I put it on pull tab and still got a signal there was a good chance it was a coin. I ended up with one quarter, two dimes and about twelve pennies.

I'm off tomorrow so I'm going to the soccer field to give it a go. With less than two hours of experience I'm just having a blast with this little guy.

You will have that Compadre paid for, with what it finds, before you know it. They sure are fun.

Pay particular attention to the sizing feature of the Compadre. Coin sized objects sound that way and small pieces of foil are quick little blips. Altthough not foolproof-small gold chains give quick signals- it's great for coin hunting and the oversize targets.
