My CoinStrike has been at Los Banos for a whole week now.

Anyone know what the normal turnaround is? I got places to detect with it that I don't want to use my other machines on until I've tried the C$ on them. I am wishing I had sent it in earlier now. :look:

:fisher::detecting: Mike, just curious what was wrong with your Coin Strike.

I have had mine back in 2 weeks.....other times a bit longer. I know can be tough to count the days sometimes ;)

I just got one back and the total time from when I sent it to when I got it back was about 2 1/2 weeks.

Bill, they think it was a 'heat sensitive" component failure. It worked fine until I took it out on its first New Mexico Summer hunt.

Here was the scenario as I reported it to FRL.

I used the machine for a about an hour in the morning using the 10" coil without any issues. After lunch, around 1:00 I changed coils out and put the 8" coil on and hunted maybe another hour without any problems. Then the machine turned itself off. I turned it back on, hunted for about another 10 minutes? And it turned itself off again. I disconnect the coil and reconnected it and turned it back on. Again after a very short time, less than 5 minutes it turned off again. Again I turned it on, and it promptly within less than two minutes shut off. I replaced the 8" coil with the 10" coil and the machine ran ok for maybe 15 minutes until it again shutoff. After some repeated attempts with me turning it on, and it shutting off, I came to a point where I could not turn it on. I would press the power button, the 8V would flash on, then it would go blank.

I went ahead and sent both coils and the brainbox in.
