My coil died...

Been having some intermittent problems with it. Started acting up on me and then stopped working all together. Looks like it's the connection at the coil itself. If I jiggle the wire around I can get it to work. It's out of warranty. Can they repair coils? I wonder how much that would cost vs just buying a new one. If I get another coil, which one? Stock, platypus, joey... Need something for all around use, so I don't think a WOT would be good... I don't know. I'll call Minelab when they open and see what they say.

What a bummer.

Good luck Joe - my only experience with replacing coils is when the ears holding the shaft broke off about 4 months ago. Ask all around and get info, Steve in so az
