My cheap skate, easy to do meter mount!!

Bottomfeeder

New member
Here are a couple of pictures of my new Sovereign Elite, sporting my home made meter mount.
The meter is mounted on a short piece of half inch aluminum shaft, cut from the handle piece that came with the detector.
The clamps are standard half inch Mineralac pipe clamps, joined back to back with a short 1/4 inch bolt and nut. Available from any electrical supply shop.
My machine is mounted on a shaft I bought last year in anticipation of getting a new Sovereign. I got it on Ebay, it says Baker straight shaft on it. handles great.
Bottom picture is a bulb base I dug up in my front yard during a real quick test. (its sprinkling here).
