My buddy Lee's gold ring and silver.:clapping:

I missed out on our club hunt last Sat because of another engagement, but my buddy Lee did pretty well. He is not very good on computers and doesn't have a digital camera, so I stopped by his place this morning and took some pictures of his finds and said that I would post them on his behalf. He was telling me about this gold ring he found on the phone and I had to stop and take a gander at it. The club hunt was at a salt water beach on a low tide, but Lee said he had a little time to kill before the hunt and stopped by a place where they tore down an old house. He said they moved a lot of the dirt around, but did manage to find a couple of small spots where the old dirt was undisturbed and it paid off for him. He got a 49 rosie and a nice 49 Franklin half.:clapping: After he got his silver fix it was off to meet some of the fellows from our club at the beach. Lee said he got some clad and then he got this low tone and out pops this cool ring. It's a Free Mason ring and you can see the mason symbol on one side and a cross on the other with an eagle on the face. It's pretty worn and there was no gold kt marking visible, but he did have a jeweler check it out and it's gold. Now I won't have to listen to him crying about not finding any gold rings for awhile. I know you will be looking at this post Lee and again, nice going on that ring and that silver ain't too bad either. He said he also found an old fish hook that looked to be hand forged, but didn't have it with him when I stopped by his business so no picture. Thanks for looking fellows and I wish I could take credit for Lee's nice finds, but I am happy to share his finds with you guys. GL & HH to everyone.

[size=large]congrats to Lee on his finds and thanks to you for posting them for him. what little reading i did on the ring i'm betting the guy who lost it was from canada. i just love finding a BF. only found one so far but what a feeling pulling that big coin out of the ground.

Nice silver and gold. !!!

Sweet Frankin. Been really hot here in NC for a while but, it is cooling off a little and am planning on going out in the morning for a while.

Hi Eddie- Lee found a really nice ring and it looks pretty old (maybe late 1800s?). Masonic stuff is really collectible too. That's some nice silver too. Hope you can get out and give him some competition. Thanks for posted those finds & HH.

Them are some sweet digs your buddy Lee found Eddie That is a real nice ring. Tell him congrats for me. HH:beers:

Tip of the hat for some nice finds and Franklin halves are far and between only found 3 in 20 years...Interesting gold ring...indeed may be a collectors item and due to the wear may be a high Kt. as purer gold rings do not wear well...guess thats why my 10 kt 47 year old wedding band is in real nice condition...

I appreciate the information and I know that my buddy Lee does also. I'm going to have to show him how to set up his own forum account. LOL. Thanks again and HH to everyone.
