My Brand NEW Excal II gets its maiden voyage tonight, but I won't be there!

Why not? Because when I ordered it the other day from Kellyco, I had JW send it directly to my big brother Mike in Virginia Beach so that it would be put together, charged and ready to go when I get there on June 25 for a TWO WEEK vacation of detecting and other family stuff! (Thanks to the blood sucking airlines that now CHARGE $25 per bag over the one bag minimum, each way! I'm going for two weeks. I can't exactly fit all my treasure hunting gear AND two weeks of clothes in one bag!)

Anyway, Mike will get to give my Excal II its first taste of salt water tonight on the VA Bch oceanfront. If it was anyone else, I'd be freaking out about them touching my brand-new-just-out-of-the-box detector, but its in safe hands. My brother is pretty "anal" about his machines (MIKE - please be that way with MY machine, too!)

He'll have two weekends to play with it before I arrive. There's a good possibility that my Excal II will find gold before I even get to say hello to it!

Stacey if he finds another ring like the one last year with the big ice what % of it is yours for using your new Excal to find it. You know you got to share with your little sister Mike. Good Luck. HH
 
I was going to say cancel your trip by the time you get there he will have all the treasure found with that ex cal....

You could get one big bag, put a weeks worth of clothing, just have to wash them to wear the second week. Besides the ones you need the most are the ones you wear when hunting.

Mike, is everything okay? I'm getting worried that you haven't contacted me. No gold yet? Or, did somebody clobber you over the head and steal my BRAND NEW Excal II? If so, you still have time to order a new one from Kellyco so it will be ready for me when I get there. On YOUR bill this time!

Please let me know that it is WORKING and that all is well.

(If I know Mike, he's probably trying hard to make a big score with it BEFORE reporting how it's working.)

and I can assure you, He is alive and well and so is your machine. He did get some gold this weekend. He got a new gold car with gold interior. I mean beige interior.
 
He did send me a picture of the "new" car and he told me he didn't find anything good this past weekend, but that the machine is working fine.

OK, here I am...alive and well.

Yes, I have been VERY busy lately, with car, work, wife (recent hip replacement), etc. and when I DO have time to get out and hunt, things have been sparse and not much to report or worth posting.

But your new Excal2 works fine and I have dug many targets with it. It's all primed up and ready to find gold and platinum if somebody would just wave the coil over some of it!

Since Memorial Day I have been out like 3 times. I've found a modest amount of clad, 2 silver rings, two junk rings, a men's titanium wedding band, a few junk earrings, some nice sunglasses, some Hot Wheels cars, and a set of car keys. I DO feel like gold is coming this weekend. But I'm patient...I know it's coming. Things are opening up.

By the time you get here we'll all be dripping in gold. :)
 
Well, I WOULD say that her reward would be me using her Excal II and putting some of my "mojo" on it.

But unfortunately, at least for the time being, my mojo seems to be MIA! :lol:
