My best silver day in a long, long time

Searched around an empty New Jersey farm house, farm now belongs to the county. First 3 digs near the house were silver coins, this place has to be virgin territory. The small sterling pill box is stamped Siam. The large penny is a 1700's King George II penny, can't make out the date. Found the KG when walking thru the field back to my car. (strange, found a 1735 KG II half penny 3 weeks ago elsewhere). Lots of wheaties, no Mercs or Indian heads. Had a great time there, can't wait to try the field again before the weeds grow, maybe 1800's silver there. Fisher Edge ID.

Congratulations ! What a great day of hunting:clapping:

That's really a nice group of coins in a days hunt, congrats.-----A Barber & Rosies--strange there wasn't a merc but that's the way it goes sometimes.---ANY silver is great to find these days and silver quarters doesn't show up that often anymore either.----You did REALLY well!----------Del

I went back there today and found nothing but 1 wheatie near the house and 2 flat buttons in the field using the 10" coil. I got all the easy coins the other day. I might go back and try the 6" coil around the house where the nails are. If they mow the field this summer then maybe I can get the coil close to the ground. Today the coil had to be held a good 5" high in the field.

Plain flat buttons. Chunks of melted lead in one area. Why is melted lead in a field. Found one two piece button yesterday with eagle on it. Thick clumps of weeds 4" high, was lucky to find the buttons. Hope they cut the field.
