My best keeper hunt.....multi silver!:clap:

I have been on vacation for the last week and didn't swing a bit. I was really feeling the MD bug so yesterday I decided to go out for a morning hunt before it got too hot. I was out for two hours and forty five minutes and what a productive hunt it was. I went back to a park at a nearby town that has been very productive this year for me. All of the places that I hunt are public and have been told that these old-timers have been through here for thirty years, good thing they left some stuff for me!! I only dug 28 coins, but 9 of them were keepers, a ratio that will be hard for me to top in the future. Until yesterday, my best silver hunt was two coins, now it is 4 silver in one hunt, wow!! For me that is really amazing, I know for others that 4 silver is no big deal, but it is for me. Included in this hunt was my first ever standing quarter, and it was in a hole with the V nickel, what a hole. Three more mercs and four wheats made for a great morning hunt for me. The quarter was really stained dark and I cleaned all of the silver by lightly rubbing baking soda with a drop of water with my thumb until shiny. The nickel is in pretty nice shape other than the nick I put in it and you can clearly read LIBERTY on the crown. I have the nickel soaking and it should be clean in about a week, and I will post a picture of it cleaned. Thanks for looking and HH!!

Awesome finds. Four in a day is a big deal, Bet there isn't a person on this forum who wouldn't like having a 4 in 1 tomorrow. And your SLQ is beautiful. 1920 S. You may want to have that graded.

Wow! Great job, almost can't wait to get back to go MD myself, but I'm still having fun over here in Japan. Wish I had brought my detector with me. We were at the beach yesterday and I never saw anyone with a detector while I was there. We've gone to lots of places where I could have used my detector. Oh well, the food over here is great. I haven't yet finished a meal using there eating utensils, chop sticks, but again it's fun and plus I've lots of walking and I know I've lost weight. I'm up one more notch on the belt, COOL!
What was your VDI on your detector when you found the half dollar? Nice collection of coins, wish I could go out with you sometimes. Maybe when I get back to the states.. Continue having fun MDing and finding more treasure and I'll try to make it back on in a couple of days to see what more you've found... Cliff

Soak the nickel in white vinegar for a week or two, periodically change the vinegar and lightly scrub with a toothbrush. Check posts from Montanagold for the whole description of the process.

Awesome finds bud!!! Things have been a little slow for me about a week ago me and Tim went to an old church after getting permission, Tim found 2 wheat's and I came away with 2 wheat's and 3 Mercs. You are on fire I may have to plan a trip over to you guys and spend the day hunting with you, if things don't pick up here.
