Best hunt yet for me ! Went out this a.m. to my Father-In-Law's Camp & Pond. He pointed out an area where an older campsite once stood and where the older Cajun men played card games (outside) many many years ago. About 5 mins into the hunt VDI = 89 @ 4" (1 Lady 1945 ). About 10 mins later, another VDI= 89 @ 6" (2nd Lady 1936). :clapping: I love those eagles on the back side. Plus 1958D Wheat. I guess even a blind squirrel can find an acorn every now and then. LOL Thanks for looking. CCH

Now that's what I call an excellent hunt sight. BIG CONGRATULATIONS. I bet you'll be going back there again. :detecting: I love the eagles on the back of the Walker's also. They sure are pretty. And a wheat cent too! :clapping: Hunt while you can in this unusual weather. Today it's very windy and temps in the lower 40's. Brrrrrrrr cold. Thanks for posting and great detecting! HH, Nancy

Love those old silvers.

Congrats on the great finds !

I knew it was a matter of time before you hit the silver EJ, Congratulations...:clapping: That sounds like a pretty big place to hunt all by yourself..............

WOW
I want to find one...
A BIG Congrats on the BIG silver.

HH

All -
Thanks for the congratulations and thanks for all the advice and tips. Mr Larry - You were exactly right .... I found some "real" silver when I least expected it. Just got lucky (for once) but I'll take it. CCH

nice finds! Jimmie

Although luck is always a factor, you earned your stars on this EJ, research, location, persistence and permission.............

Great hunt CCH ! Man you are putting together an awesome group of places to hunt. Keep at it...

Scott,

Thanks. Keeping an official "list" of hunting sites with notes. Will definitely be heading back to this spot again.... soon. Got some other spots I'm working on for permission. Several choices. Hope to see some of your posts soon ? CCH

Good idea keeping a detailed list. I keep all mine in my head. (maybe that's why I'm always lost) I'll be posting some of my better finds when I get a chance. Big old chunk of life to deal with for the time being but I am squeezing in some hunts. I'm getting by on yours and others posts for now. Good luck with the new spots although it doesn't look like you need it. Two Walker halves on one hunt...unreal !?!?!

CCH,

That is one SWEET hunt. Bet there are more where that came from...maybe even a Stone Mountain half!!!

Post more pics soon!

Bob

Yukon Bob,
