I found a few CW buttons over the last few days at DIV XXIX. This one comes from the Excelsior Camp --- a Gold staff cuff. 5" down. Near perfect button find. Shank perfect. 100% guilt ??? Fun diggin it with the Whites TDI. The pic does it no justice.
Good finds. I bought my TDI S/L for relics. Seems like it likes sq. nails alot. What do you do to avoid them? Low cond. seems to be fine with buttons but doesn't get bullets larger than a forty-four. Can you supply any helpful info about settings etc.. Pretty, solid looking staff. Thanks.....
Very nice button EJ. She's a beauty for sure. Oh if it could only talk, wouldn't you love to hear the stories! Congratulations on the finds.
I thought the name "Excelsior" sounded familiar. Here's a link to the MXT Forum and the button I found. Nothing like yours but it's from the Excelsior Regiment.
Nice find. Used to work with a guy that I thought cleaned out the Culpeper area.
We both worked at SWIFT and he spent more time looking for civil was stuff than
he spend at work or home for that matter.
