one that I had to return.... &
My neighbor called me about five weeks ago stating his son's girlfriend lost an expensive diamond ring while moving into her new home. They wanted to know if I would go over and look for it.
I called his son and found out that they believe it was lost in the backyard since she fell while walking in that area. I knew it rained heavily the night before and the possibility of a muddy hunt was growing but he then proceeded to tell me that that area hasn't been sodded yet. Also that they laughed at her and before they new it four of them were in a mud fight in the pooring down rain. KIDS !!!!!
I took extra shoes, towels, etc. and drove over and found a mud bath awaiting me. Now understand I told them that my FAT ass would probably sink up to my knees and wanted to know if she could wait until it dried up. The tears started whelming up in her eyes so I knew the answer to that one....
Took shoes and socks off and waded in. Twenty Five very looooooooooonnnnnnnggg minutes later brought out the prize at three inches deep right in the middle of her yard. I was surprized that I only got a weak VDI of 18 with very little audible. You would have thought with the condensation and weight of this ring it would knock your ears off. I was really getting worried since I was not having any luck at all.
They said they would give me a reward but I told her the only reward I wanted was a picture of the ring later. She said she was going to have it made smaller next week and would get back to me.
I ran into all of those crazy kids at my neighbors birthday party last weekend so I took the pics there. I only wish I had a better digital camera since my pics often come out a little blurred.
The ring has 46 diamonds, 20 are of nice size. Ring value around $7,500.
