The only good thing about this cold winter is that the river is frozen over in most places - wheres there's open water- you'll find the eagles.

These are my best shots to date..

This is a banded one too - has a gray band and a blue band - from what I was told one is federal and one is state. Any falconers out there that can shed some light on this?

Great shots ... eagles are just soooo majestic!

BTW I think you've got some great gear as well. Of course, I realize that it is the photographer - not the equipment - that takes the picture. ;)

Have to give you a lot of credit for going out in the weather we've been having this winter (if your location is anything like mine). It sure is slowing down my picture taking.
