Afternoon everyone!
Well i went out to two city parks today an had a beautiful day doing it. My first park i stopped at i wrote about the other day when i found the 12 gauge shell Winchester repeater brass, so same park in morning , Wandered around the side walks again an found 42 coins an a Buick crest from the front end of a car Then went to lunch an thought i would go back to the park my partner had found 165 coins in almost one spot,. At this same park i did the side walk here in august an pulled 168 coins from the whole sidewalk area from one end of the park to the other, now this was where A found my first mercury dime 1942 an two 1911 wheat pennies about 5 feet apart. so we have hit this park i thought pretty good. God ! knows how many other people may have hit this park.
But anyway! I'm im looking for the general area where my partner had his good luck an he been back tothis park an checked it out again, i spoke with him today an he couldnt believe what i had found either. in my first dig of getting a bell sound i hit for 17 coins , so i knew i was close to the area he had been at, Walked about two feet an hit for 24 coins in a small 2 foot area, Now it went like this for about an hour an the funny thing was i would just put my machine down after the first bell tone an crawl on my hands an knees an use my pin pointer, locating more coins at the top an after digging some would find more . down to about 6 inches. one little hole had a quarter an two pennnies lying right together. After a couple of hours i stopped as i had to go some wheres esle last night but my tota; for that park was 116 coins So my total tally for the days event that i was very happy with was:
144 pennies
8 dimes
4 quarters Total coins for the day (15:geek:
2 nickels
3 keys
1 token from chunky cheese
1 buick car crest

Ps not sure i got all the coins so im going back tomorrow to try an see!!!!! Happy hunting everyone an may you all have a super day!!!

Great hunt, but get rid of the Buick crest or you will be forever cursed...Ahhhhhh!!!!...Sorry...I just hate Buick...

HH,

Don't worry about the pennys they sometime lead to Silver Rings. Sounds like you hit a good place. Hundred coin days & 1,000 coins in a month & a daily tot of Rum , Maineman .

Now thats a great hunt.!!!!! :detecting: congrats on all the coins.

And digging all those pennies is the ticket to getting silver rings, silver coins and other surprises. I would place my bets on you!

WTG. I'm tired just thinking of digging all those coins. Sounds like there is a lot more where those coins came from. HH.

Congratulations on a great hunt! You are a coin vacuum cleaner!!

That is a lot of pennies! I had one day a few years ago where I found over 300 coins. It was a lot of luck because my last site had a tiny little bark chip lot that had over 180 coins in it. I dug 180 coins in about 90 minutes. No, I'm not joking. After a while I just stayed on my hands and knees and used my Pro-Pointer. I've had a few 200 plus coin days too. I'm always out of action for days afterward, though. Well not always! Great hunt. I wish I was getting out more.

Chris
