My "all metal" way of thinking is slowly changing

jeff & Maria

Active member
Always hunted all metal with the Explorer II for fear of missing something in the null. I brought the E tac to a 1700's home site and in particular a small area that must have been a structure since swinging the coil there produces just about a solid null. The best I ever did was an indian head using the 3.5" tiny coil on the XLT. The Sterling salt shaker top sang out amongst the null along with a 1941 nickel. And this was with the huge stock coil! It sure is nice to hunt in a quieter environment. Now if I could just use that discrimination on Maria, nulling out all the useless chatter and only hearing the important things we would really have something!

That is the way my dogs hear too... blah blah blah.. no... blah blah cookie... blah blah blah sic'em...

Is that REALLY Maria???--I thought you two were MUCH older!--How can you be so funny at such a young age?? :) Now I meant that as a REAL compliment!!---From what I'm seeing, that E Trac's bringing in high tones in at least "quite a few" of those nulls.--I'm sort of reserving judgement on that call though as I have always been cautious in that regard.---I just need a little more time behind the machine.--The E Trac is turning out to be a very interesting detector (I think).--There's a few unanswered questions on it yet (E Trac)-but they will come.

Jeff.........Your dear Maria has found out how to communicate with Your E-Trac via the USB port..........Smart lady.

I've modified your unit though....notice the new Fe button by the hand grip.

Just press it twice to eliminate any Fe2 interference... (Fe2 = females)

Enjoy your E-Trac..........MattR.UK

p.s.
Maria, I'm only joking.....Jeff's a lucky guy to have a girl like you. (And an E-Trac)

In a post I made on another forum about some of the features of the Garrett cx3 I said that I Liked the the Ground Blanking feature(Which would ignore the first 1-4" of ground and only give a signal below that....It ALSO had a main feature named (Treasure Talk) which would give the target ID and depth on EVERY TARGET in a female voice....that sounded a bit like my honey. .......In That post I said "It was like listening to my wife in the headphones....XXXX target located at xxxxx depth,,,,,,,XX located at XXXX Depth...........If my wife was standing behind me as I am typing this. I would have to say "I should have dug those targets" L.O.L.
