My Ace 250 ?

I've watched the detuneing video,by Khouse, very good info for me.
He states that the coin is over 3 inches deep,in his test garden, and finds it,marks it,then proceeds.
As he goes on to tell how to detune the detector, upon finding the coin, goes ding-ding-ding-ding,rapidly !
I have found a pile of coins[I've only had my 250 for less than 2 weeks],but mine does not do the rapid dinging thing, over a coin! I will simply get a ding-ding?
Is mine not right or do i have some thing set up wrong??? If i pass over a coin,it will give a ding,go back [slow swinging movement] the other way,and ding.
Sort of like DINK------------------DINK !!!!!!!!!! No show of energy, like his ding ding ding ding? This makes it tough on me! What to do!!!!!!!!!

Once you locate a target try to put your coil right over it. Then in short quick sweeps of about 3 inches sweep your target. This should give you the rapid beeping. In an air test can you hear the difference in the tone of a nickel compared to a dime?
