My 6x10 coil?

John (Ma)

New member
When my 6x10 coil is on my detector it will overload if I go above 10 with the gain. I had submeged the coil in water a few days prior, but I thought the coil should be water proof? This overload happens when the coil is in the air, at different locations and I have switched coils and the other coils will allow the gain above 10 with no problems. Is my 6x10 toast?

and you are right it is water-proof, I may have leaked though. Have you tried to locate any cracks on the coil?

YUP.... Give White's a call. They will take good care of you.

I'll do that and I looked for cracks and could not detect any, buth there was a deep scratch, so it may be hard to tell if there is a pinhole there. But I'll contact Whites and see what they say. Thanks!
