My 3rd silver in 3 hunts.

I got out to the zoo in town for an hour or so today, they tore down an exhibit and dug up the concrete and I was allowed to get in, I had to hunt quickly because I had to work and they were closing soon. I was in Park 1, 2 tones, recovery at 6, iron bias at 0, sens set at 20. I had my tone break set at 18, so from -9 to 18 I set the tone as low as it would go and turned the volume to half. My goal was to cover as much ground as possible quick as possible. I only focused on clear, loud repeatable tones today. I'll go back when I have more than enough time to go a little slower and chase after the iffy signals. The spot is polluted with metal from the demo, but, I still managed to hit the dime at 5", loud and clear and VDI 26-26. I've been able to score silver the last 2 times out, nothing great, but, silver is always good.

used your tone breaks and it works great! 6 hunts with the 800 now, toatl of about 16-18 hours, still learning. But it does find stuff! Silver 3 hearts charm wrist chain, 2 western belt parts silver and gold flower on them, A buff, 53 Rosie and late 1700's Chinese coin. '49 Rosie and 54 quarter. A 43 War nickel and 44 Merc. For whatever reason today the 800 was really chirpy and really inconsistent with t he numbers. Was like the GB had gotten totally screwed up. So I put it aside and went back to the CTX. I was hunting with a fella with a Deus, he found one coin.

Today I re-hunted the yard from yesterday with the CTX. Worked slow with sense at 28, and got a '98 O Barber dime, another 43 war nickel, and a 50 quater with a wheat penny stuck to it. All these were at about 8-11 inches deep in wet soup and mud.

Thanks again for the tone setup. I modified it a tad for my old ears so I could hear the low stuff a bit better.

Very clever location to hunt. Always good to find some silver regardless of the age. Glad to see that you're finding a friend with the Equinox.

I heard through the grapevine that Jurassic Park 1 mode is best when hunting the Raptor Cages. Best Be quick on your toes though.

Good luck,

Rich -

Silver is always good Dan! Congrats on continuing your streak. HH Randy
