my 3rd clad half

3rd clad half in a little over a month since I've returned to detecting. Went back to the OH SO TRASHY local ballpark in town this morn to beat the heat. I've had my discrimination up pretty high on the old Golden Sabre II so that it rejects most pulltabs and the zinckers come in pretty choppy. I took someones advice here and slowed down and tried some cherry picking and actually had a pretty nice 2hr hunt and only dug 2-3 pulltabs and a couple cans. Found the half and like the 2 previous clad halves, I "almost" let it sit thinking it was another can down there. First time at the trashy ballpark I couldn't get out of there quick enough because of the pulltabs. There's plenty more newer stuff to be cherry picked off the top and should be some silver if a guy can get some of the crap off the top. It'll be a spot to keep returning to when nothing else is readily available..... It paid somewhat to just slow down and listen.

After the ball park I went to a friends house to try and recover a gold ring he lost. Turned off my notch and had disc turned down to 2 and hunted for the ring. No luck but only hunted for approx. 30-40min and the heat got to me. Did dig 5 copper pennies and 4-5 lead slugs (low tones). As I normally only search for high tones this is new to me. Does the setting I had it on sound about right for looking for a gold wedding band? If not....any setting recommendations for the GSII when going for a gold wedding band? Thanks!

Way to go! It pays to slow down in trashy areas.
