My 3030 has been very busy the last 4 hunts.........

Over the last two weeks I got off the beaten track the last 4 hunts and hit some area's less hunted but still have had lots of sand movement from super storm Sandy. Lots of dunes were knocked down and replaced. They did some deep digging on the beaches and just in the last few weeks got it spread out. The photos don't show the total coins in any one photo. One shows two hunts and the other shows the last hunt. The silver is the total 15 hours of hunting, total coins 814 almost 419 pennies 56 were wheat's 180 dimes 131 quarters and 49 nickels 2 were buffalo's. 20 rosies 7 mercs 8 silver Washington's Some where's around $57.79 in clad.
These coins came from some really slow coil speed and required a step then swing then another step and swing, in one swing 4 or 5 good targets were heard along with 10 bad targets. the total area covered was 150ft by 300ft many scoops produced more than one coin and trash! its certainly not over but my back needs a rest. Good thing its going to rain tomorrow!
I have to add that I saw a few hunters in the 4 hunts come and go. They were either moving way too fast or they could stand the trash. Too bad for them!

Were you not digging gold tones? I would have to imagine there would be some gold out there
No I was not digging gold tones. Only sure nickels I dug. Guys using Excaliburs and GT's were digging 3 to 4 hundred old style pull rings that were bend and twisted, during the same hunts! I am sure there's gold in there some where's but with 10 targets per swing you need to self discriminate, other wise you would only cover a 20ft circle in 5 hours. There is trash of all sorts sticking up out of the sand with pots and pans, I dug up a micro wave door tonight, just below the sand. I chose to cherry pick coins first. not too many rings get under the small board walks of these smaller communities! Its not over yet.

Great Scott!

Good luck! Great finds so far

I would say.

Quick calculations says that the silver dimes and quarters are worth around 75 bucks in silver value. Not too shabby. Plus of course the fun of retrieving them from the nether regions of possibly being lost forever.
Way to go .. GL & HH

Congrats wtg
