As many will already know I had an issue with the upper carbon fibre shaft waring to a point of a wobble. (250 hrs use ) I contacted Minelab and they authorized a return. It was mailed on the 26th received on the 28th (Friday) Tuesday the 16th Minelab informed me it was on its way back. I received it today 18th So Minelab said 14 days not to include shipping and weekends and they were pretty darn close. A good job in my book!
Here's what they did they replaced the upper carbon fiber shaft, they replaced the cam lock, they replaced all the screws as mine were terribly white and they replace the speaker box/connection with a new box? It will get added to the rotation starting tomorrow in place one.
I hope to be reporting some good finds soon!

Glad you got your machine back BC. Good time to try that baby out before it gets too cold. Good luck and HH :minelab:

BCNJ, good news!
Is it a gap between the cam lock and the upper carbon fiber shaft decreased or remained the same as before?

MrBig, not sure of your question, but my problem was at the grip end for the waring.(sq shaft) The cam lock was worn so that it did not grip the shaft from spinning but held it from sliding. The new cam is so tight I was really concearned with snapping it when I closed it.
I will NOT be sliding the shaft back in after each hunt as this looks to be a place to become a problem again?
