Weather was gorgeous today after all the crappy stuff for so long. Got up to 70 so I went tecting for about three hours and rounded up this collection in a sports field using the 1500 + the new coil. The Canadian quarter is a 1979 so don't know if it's silver or not. HELP John.

1968 was the last year for silver. But, as usual, you got lots of quarters. I can't wait to dig in some dirt around here.
 
I always consider 1968 the last year for silver in the Canadian quarters unless you have a special mint coin but those are usually sealed in plastic coin protectors.Actually in 1968 the mint issued silver and non-silver coins in the same year. You can see the difference if you put both coins side by side.
I've been poping pennys so much lately that a quarter is basically 24 less knee bends ....ha !I'll take them quarters any day .
