I started out in the woods, but the snow didn't melt there, so I walked to recreation part of the preserve. The ground was frozen, so I just surface hunted. I am definitely going back, I got so many hits for quarters , dimes, nickels and pennies, you wouldn't believe it. I don't remember who said to check toboggan hills but I checked it out. I spent around 4 hours combing that hill and found a 18kt mans ring, and a earing (I think is just junk, not a diamond) a Junk necklace, some change and a few old pull tabs.
I found the ring at the bottom of the sledding hill. And it rang on a penny signal!!!! The picture above is the ring and a quarter so you can see the thickness of it.
When I found the ring I saw it on the surface partially covered by some dead grass, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, I stood there for a good min just looking at it. Then I picked it up, after that I was so happy that I started to see rings everywhere I looked even though they weren't there, so I figured it was time to go home. And here I am telling you!!!!
It has "Art Carved 18kt" the scale show is in ounces. 0.345oz click here to see the value of my ring
I was just hoping to find a silver quarter or a wheat cent, but I never even thought that I would find a gold ring, let alone a big mans ring, I figured that if i did find one, it would be a tiny woman's ring. But mine is solid with no ornamentation on it, just smooth gold ring. I'm so happy I bought my ace 250!!!!!!!!!!!! The 2nd time I use it, it pays for itself!!! Now everything I find is pure profit!!!
I am going to go back next weekend and surface hunt more of the preserve, I can't wait!!!!!!
