With the weather now being cold....I might be done for this year.
So I will post my counts for coins for 2011 now.
(10) = dollar coins...all new
(1) - half dollar coin
(750) = quarters
(663)= dimes(2) were silver 1 merc 1 roosvelt
(266)= nickles (2 were buffalo's
(1397)= pennies not sure how many were wheats. (1) was a unreadable indian head.
total Value was $292.53
NO GOLD found in NYC though I got those (2) bracelets I found when I visited home in CA. I will try to post (2) photo's of the silver I found and the buckets of trash I have saved .
But all in all 2011 was a good detecting year for me.
I did pay roughly 50% of the new detector I have been using.
For the last week it has been too cold to go to the park to dig so I have been collecting the bottles and cans people just dump in the corner trash cans and leave on the street here in nyc where I am and have received another $32.86 in $8.days of looking. It may not be a lot but sure helps me to not turn into a lump.
