My 2009 Nickel's and Cent's

The weather man well not give me a brake so my 2009 MD'ing year is officially over with. I guess it's gong to be a long winter with the way they keep forecasting for snow and below freezing temps and I'm already getting bored, lol.

I hope everyone has a Marry Xmas and a Happy New Year.

Here's my Nickel and Cent totals for 2009

4, shield nickels

22 V's, my best one was a 1887

27 Buff's, my best one was a 14d

9 War nickels

2 LC's, a 1851 and a ND

89 IH's, my best one was a 1871

743 wheat's, "not in pic" my best one was a 1909s

Mark --- as impressed that I was with your (201) silver coins for the year, I am even more impressed with your nickel finds............that is just plain down FANTASTIC..............WTG! Hawkeye Jim.

Randy, I would like to thank you for all of the help that you have given us on this great forum. Also thanks for those old aerial photos. they were a BIG help in locating those old school houses. I knew right where I was going to go before I even got to the field and they also helped me locate a few old ball fields.

I say thanks to all you guys that are sharing your knowledge and finds. This forum is the greatest. I'm still "paying my dues" with the new 705 as it's a big change from the Tejon but things are starting to come together for me. I'm pulling deep wheats from old pounded areas although no silver as yet. Mostly running all metal with 99 tones and picking clads out of the iron on every trip. I'm also swapping between the stock coil and the HF 6". All of your posts have been a great help and I'm looking forward to a super new year.
