My 2007 Totals:thumbup:

New member
I jumped the gun and posted my totals on 12/18/07. Silly me, I should have known the hunting season wasn't over. I ended the year with a "last day of the year hunt" with 2 silver rings found. Here is the short list of my 2007 totals.
I found 7022 coins for $478.06
I found 20 silver coins.
I found 12 silver rings
I found 6 gold rings
I found plenty of junk rings.

Here is a link for my original post with lots of great pictures and a itemized list.

It's truly amazing how similar so many of our year end totals are. Very nice loot.

...please leave a beep...after the ring.....

Chris

Awhitsler, I know that you don't care since you were just having fun, but I'm curious! Can you estimate how many hours were involved in last years finds? If you can't, can you estimate the hours per week? Thanks Joe

Nice goin' awhitster,
You do pick up some of the most beautiful rings and your totals are not to be sneezed at.
Well done and we both wish you the very best of finds for 2008.

I hunted 300 locations so maybe 600 hours. I work a rotating shift. I work 15 days a month (12 hour shifts) and I'm off 15 days. 7 days of that (my long change) is in a row. That gives me a little  spare time to hunt.

Awhitster did better than me in a few categories but I did end up with more coins and an older wheat....eheheh

7696 coins for $406.13.

2- 1907 Indian Head Pennies
2- 1948 Quarters
1964 Dime
1919 Merc Dime
1917-1924 Liberty Quarter (date missing but other features put it in that date range)
35 Wheaties oldest 1912
1977 IKE Dollar (awhitster was with me when I found it in Calif)
1 Toonie and 1 Loonie
Silver One Frank Liberty (my own back yard)

Plus an assortment of silver/gold/cheapo rings and all the other fun stuff like cars and cap grenades and pocket knives and watches and pot pipes and such.

AND ONE :pulltab:

Weather permitting I would have done better...

And a couple of the marked 925 rings I found were in that range. Had I have notched the zincs out too, I would have been a couple less rings. Give and take for sure.........besides, 100 pennies is a buck. Works for me.......

If one hits on zinc penny, it has to much copper and isn't really .925, just a cheap fake. I 'm not looking for junk.
