My 2007 Coin, Ring and Junk Totals

I thought I would post my best finds and totals now for 2007 (although there is still some detecting time left this year). It is raining so it is a good time to go over my spreadsheet and compile a list. Luckily I am blessed to live in a part of the USA that allows me to detect year round. The only thing that stops me is the occasional rain storm and heat wave. For some of you, this might be a drop in the bucket to your totals. For you newcomers, you might be in awe. For me, I am as very happy about the year I had. I hope next year is as bountiful.

Highlights for the year: Finding my first Barber dime and Buffalo nickel. Being able to MD together with both of my brothers; my wife and my grand-daughter. Finding 2 gold rings in one day while at a park with my mother, daughter and grand-daughter. All in all, it was a year of great memories.

Very nice year Awhitster! Congratulations on your first Barber! And more importantly, the opportunity to hunt with friends and family is priceless. I let my daughter do the scoop work at the beach, especially if I think I've got a ring! Have a great holiday season! - ziphius (Jim)

It's amazing what cool things can be found with a detector.

Well done awhitster,
You do find some of the most beautiful rings, hey an' a great monetary total as well.
Our aim for next year is to try and get close to some of you guy's totals.
Thanks for spurring us on.

You sure have been a busy beaver. I have heard so many say that there's hardly any silver left out there. You proved them wrong. Nice gold too! Your wifey is going to have a great teacher. I put my money on you two :)

All the best in the new year ;)

Impressive finds, and even more impressive is the fun you had and the memories made while doing it. I wish you at least the same luck for the coming year if not better on all counts.

Steve
