My 2 Cents Worth!!!

All I can say is wow! There are some coins I have had on my list to find for many years but never really figured I would find some of them . The best part of metal detecting for me is the thrill of the hunt never really knowing what you are going to find on any given day you metal detect and then finding an item that you have always wanted to cross off of your bucket list. Those things for me are getting fewer and father between due to the length of time I have been hunting. Well I found another to cross off my list it was a 1864 two cent piece found on an old farm at 5-6 inches down. Also found other assorted goodies :)

Looks like you got a Beauty, Congrats.....and that's my 2 cents, ;)

WOW, that is in really nice shape!!!

Congrats on crossing off another on your bucket list.

Very cool.. and great shape... I have never found one of those either.. Sometimes it's not always about the coins, just the thrill of pulling something out of the ground and the history of it all. Be it coins or relics.. HH

Very nice find! it looks to be in excellent condition, I myself have never dug a 2 cent piece ...but hope to. I couldn't agree with you more about the thrill of the hunt and the anticipation of whats in the plug you just dug, I have many I wish to cross off my list, yet to find a seated coin, 3 cent silver , plus others...I guess that keeps me motivated also. Congrats on the nice 2 center!

Nice work on pulling out a beautiful coin! I found a piece in you junk pile, the long coppery thing with the elongated hole in it, in a field. I thought it was a gun sight, what do you think it is?

Great 2 cent, still on my list, did find an 1828 half penny but still looking for those odd cent coins.

Well done!

Man, that's sweet! Dug an 1864 three years ago...gouged the snot out of it...sore subject. Anyway, I LOVE what you did with your dump truck! LOL

Great looking finds. 2 center is on my wish list as well!

Thanks for the pictures.

That's a FANTASTIC looking 2 Cent !

Thanks all when I first dug it I thought it was a shield nickel until I looked on the other side could hardly believe it. I did put a little scratch in it when I dug it but not very noticeable. It did clean up well except the edges do have some corrosion on them. Steve the long elongated thing is off of an distributor for an earlier vehicle I find a lot of them.
