My first 2 cent piece. 1864. The front's is in pretty bad shape but I still like these older coins. Happy Hunting!!

Very nice find! And another first!!!! :clapping: I love the old coins also. No matter how beat up they are. And seeing a date on them is another bonus. Congrats! HH to all, Nancy
 
and see if it has the small Motto or large Motto. I posted one and a friend called me and said I better check it out. I did and it turned out to be a small motto. Took the value from $10 to $55(good condition). I sold mine for $65, beings I had 3 other Large Motto one's for display.

Man, that thing is actually in great shape. Clear date and can see the lines in the shield. I have had an 1865 2 cent soaking in oil for 3 months and it is still nasty. That one looks like it will be a beauty when you get it cleaned up.
