Never own a Whites before. I just bought a new whites prizm IV Royal.I hope i did ok. Coin hunting is what mostly do. Has anyone else used this detector?

The good:
- The Prizm is a very light machine. You can swing it all day long.
- 8 kHz is a pretty good frequency for coins.
- The Prizm is easy to operate. The learning curve is practically zero. Swing it over a coin, it beeps. Period.
The bad:
- Coil selection is limited, and when you decide to trade up, none of your coils will work on the M6, MXT, DFX, or V3i
- The Prizm is a beep machine. It does not have a threshold. This may not be a negative for you. It isn't for all detectorists, just those looking for really deep targets.

There are other good things, like it seems to run forever on two 9 volt batteries, but these are the main ones IMO.
