My 1ST :thumbup:SILVER --- DOLLAR....a ...morgan:clapping:

[size=large]Found my first Silver Dollar EVER this week. The closest thing to it was the last Half dollar I found 3 years ago......I figured I was about due to find a Half dollar, since both my hunting buds found a couple EACH Last year......OK.....I'll take a Silver dollar over a Half .......It's common ,and not worth much, but It's MINE.
Was hunting in the woods this week where I had found 11 silvers in a day a few months back...Now I may find a silver every other hunt....I got a high repatable tone that the numbers and tones acted like a deceptive Mem....I thought "Maybe its a silver Coin, but most likely its a wheaty or a memorial....I dug a 7"-8" plug..............And my jaw dropped as I seen at the bottom of the plug was something Large and Shiney.....I thought Ohhhhh A silver Token............WRONG
I had it soaking in water a few days, and Now that it has been raining today....I thought I would remove the dirt take picks and post it..........I was carefull to not rub it....I just took a q-tip,and dabed it with soap,Rinse ,Repeat. It took a couple hours......I have to think it must have been scratched before lost.........That's My story & I'm sticking to it.

Very Sweeeeeeeeeet! Nice find!!! I remember finding my first and only one. I found it at Forest Glen forest preserve 5 yrs ago, 1890 and I bout sh####. The thrill and the dream since for ever and having it in your hand. I don't know about you but I went stait home to celebrate and show it off. The week end after that find a club member that hunted the place found a cashe of 153 silver dollars one on top of the other buried in a pipe in the ground. Haven't talked to him since but I think he made the cover of eastern western treasures. Nice find! Reward your self and keep on hunting. Scott
