MXTs increased gain vs Tesoros HOT technology

I can tell you that they're both operating (MXT and Cibola) on real close to the same frequency. But, as to operation, they're very different. The MXT does run noisier and tells you about just about everything in the ground, where the Cibola runs silent until you find something. It doesn't have a true all-metal mode. The Tesoro Tejon runs on a higher frequency than the Cibola (17 KHz I believe) and does have all-metal capability. I have the MXT and the Cibola. I like the MXT for relic hunting known areas and the Cibola for covering alot of ground to find sites as well as for coin shooting. Because they are real close in frequency (approx. 14 KHz) you can't get within about 10-15 feet of each other with the machines on, as it will drive the more sensitive MXT nuts and probably interferes with the Cibola's signal.
