hi! all.>>> i have a problem with my mxt . i was hunting , and got a loud singal . it read 1 cent . now i know that there is not any cooper or zinc in a beer can . can someone tell me what the deal is . i called white . just checking . thanks. marvin

You are not clear on your problem. Did you get a penny reading and find a can? If you got a piece of a can (can slaw) this is normal. Can slaw depending on size and shape can read anywhere on the scale. Rusty washers can also read in the coin range. An odd number for me is a 74 or 75, these two numbers usually yield a deep can or chucky cheese token for me. Rob

The TID is just a guideline that gives an idea of size and possible metal. Remember these things are calibrated on something the size of an average coin, so deeper larger targets can throw it off as well as smaller, shallower targets.

Your right on Rob. Just got my first ( and hopefully last) Chucky "coin" in that range.

Hi Forum Members;
I just joined the forum, I own a MXT and have not used it as much as I would like. This forum will be a great help to me, I'm looking forward to learning more about my detector.
